Post by Krish19 » Tue May 21, 2019 5:49 pm

My parents are coming to uk from India for 3 months, can they use NHS if they have need doctor while they are in uk?
Do i need to pay for their treatment if they see a doctor?

Any suggestions on best health insurance?

You need to pay and it is usually at 150% cost.

You would need to find travel insurance that would cover your parents and any pre-existing medical conditions they have.

Did your parents state on their visit visa application that they would be staying for 3 months?

They just applied for six months visa. i dont think in application states anywhere ask for how long u will be staying. in the past they came luckily they never had visit doctors. however nhs rules have changed in the mean time. i just want to make sure they are covered if they need one.

The form does ask this question and it is really important as if they stated a 2 week stay and then stay for 3 months, it could have an effect on future applications. Some members have been refused further visitor visas for stating in previous apps x weeks and staying y months. UKVI look at all previous applications when assessing new applications specifically for any discrepancies.
