Transitional Arrangement for employment work permit holders

Post by Mak_1977 » Sun Jun 29, 2008 6:40 pm

Hi,

I am currently posted in UK by my employer on work permit. This work permit is valid till November 2009.

I wanted some guidance on transitional arrangements to Tier 1 Visa from my employer sponsored work permit.

1. Can I switch from current work permit to Tier 1?
2. Do I need to provide any kind of No Objection Certificate from my employer if I choose to switch from this work permit to Tier 1 Visa?
3. Can anybody provide me with some guidance on applying for Tier-1 while switching from current employer work permit?

Kindly let me know if any boarder has gone through similar situation and successfully applied for HSMP in the past or Tier-1 recently.

Thank you,
Mak

There're hundreds of people who have successfully switched from WP to Tier 1. Search the forum for success stories or other information you might be interested in finding out (e.g. - no objection from employer, employer verification, etc.).

You will find the Tier 1 policy guidance for in-country applicants here
