Hello everyone,
So I have started a PhD less than a year ago but due to financial and personal reasons I have decided to go for a tier 2 job instead. Luckily I been accepted by a big 4 firm who are happy to provide tier 2 sponsorship, as long as I can make an in-county application. Thing is, I have completed a UK bachelors and a masters in 2016 and 2017 and then left the UK for about a year so I have applied for my current tier 2 from outside the UK. Would it be possible to switch in country based on my previous UK degrees? I have been getting conflicting advice from my uni and employer immigration teams and even some solicitors because the rules are quite vague so I'd appreciate any further interpretation.
I realise that I can switch after 12 months of PhD but my employer is not very keen on waiting that long to submit an application.
Thanks!
