Travelling to America without my brp

Post by Ayomide » Wed May 29, 2019 10:41 am

I applied for my spousal visa extension on the 10th of may and went for my biometrics on the 14th of may, hoping it will be ready before I travel to America on the 30th of may, a friend of mine applied for hers last year and told me that hers was ready within a week( which was actually 3weeks not 1 week) that was why I thought mine will also be ready before my trip but tomorrow is my trip and have not heard anything from the home office am soo confused have called them and they said there is nothing they can do I also wish I had really done my research and not book my America flight or I should have paid for priority service has anyone experienced this and what did you do I really wish there was a way, my old biometrics card wont expire until 6th of June but they told me If i travel they will cancel the application

Correct, you cant travel out of the UK as your application will then be considered withdrawn.

Presumably you applied using standard service, which can take up to 8 weeks.
