Application in process - Applied from India but now in UK

Post by docitduo » Mon Jun 30, 2008 1:50 pm

Tried searching the forum to find out if answers were already available that addressed my concerns, but in vain.

I had applied for PR under federal skilled category in Dec 2003 from New Delhi and my application entered the queue in Jan 2004. In the meantime I have shifted base to UK and have been living here since last 18 months.
I have neither requested for change in mailing address (my parents are still living in India at the same address that I mentioned in the application) nor have I informed CIC / embassy in Delhi that I have moved to UK.

While I have not received a decision from CIC as yet, but some of my friends who applied a couple of months before me in 2003 have received letters requesting them for PCCs and to undergo medical tests. So I am expecting that I might hear something too in the coming 3-4 months (hopefully). Thought it wise to start preparing myself in advance, given my circumstances, so here's what's on my mind that's making me a bit nervous.

Is it possible for me to:
1. Request that I (and dependents) be allowed to undergo medical examination in the UK, rather than in India?
2. If not, can I request for more time (not sure but I think they usually give 3 month time-period to undergo tests?) to ungergo medical tests in India so that I can travel to India alongwith my dependents at a convenient time?
3. Don't think this is going to be feasible, but can I request my application to be transferred to their embassy in UK?

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes out time to provide valid information and suggestions.

regards
