FLR-M Spousal Visa - Dependant Fees

Hi,

Im new to the community and im not sure as what format this needs to be written in.

Ill try summarize my question in as simple way possible as i cant find the reason online.

Why does my dependant have to pay for 2.5 years FLR-M and 2.5 years Immigration health Surcharge if he is getting his British Citizenship in 6 Months time.

£1033 FLR-M Fee for his Extension- 180 Days
£1000 Immigration Health Surcharge- 180 Days

He will be effectively paying almost £12 per day to extend his visa so he can get his Citizenship in 6 Months time.

Im a british citizen with full abode by Descent
My Son is South african and qualifies for his British citizenship after 3 years in the UK which is in 6 Months time.

Am i missing something or does this not seem right ?

Your frustration is very valid but I am afraid that standard application fee can't be customized to applicant's particular need.
