Submitting document? Spouse Visa

Post by Bule88 » Tue May 28, 2019 3:13 pm

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked before but i'm a little confused if i can submit the supporting documents in the UK?

My wife has a biometric appointment with VFS global on the 31st of May in Bali and it's asking for the documents to be taking to the appointment, problem is i have the documents and wouldn't be able post them in time and the email doesn't state the option to use the VFS center in the UK to scan them. Can i assume that the email is out of date? Can the documents be submit after the biometric appointment?

Thanks in advance.

Either postpone the biometrics date until when your documents reaches there or contact the vfs centre that will it be alright if you a UK sponsor get these documents scanned & uploaded.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

I called VFS, they have no idea about the uk visa, they don't have called centre in indonesia.

However the below is what is on the website.
https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/id/en/vacs/ ... -documents

I should point out the email was from visa4uk if that makes any difference?

I just seen i have another email from Visa4UK saying to send documents to Sheffield. When i phoned the paid to call number they say i can scan the documents in Leicester at the VFS global office and the confirmed appoint letter for the biometric in Bali, Indonesia says bring the document to the appointment.

Which one this it?

Hello,

Are they asking for all the supporting documents or just the appointment letter and the online application which your spouse should be able to print off in Indonesia?

I am assuming you chose the option "Register at Commercial Partner" on the Visa4UK website?
If not, then your spouse only needs to take their passport, appointment letter and their online application to the appointment along with the e-mails that confirm the IHS number.

Please bring these documents with you to your appointmnet:
• a print out of your appointment confirmation

I booked the appointment through Visa4UK When i click "Register at Commercial Partner" it doesn't allow me to book any other services at the centre as the GWF it creates is a different number to the one on the Visa4UK form and it asks me to pay and book other appointment which i don't need so haven't. The box on the forms isn't green so not sure if it's linked?

Hello,

If you want to attend the VFS Centre in person, then 'Register at Commercial Partner' on the Visa4UK website when completing your application online.

Hi,

The status is "completed" on the Visa4UK site. An appointment was already made during the application process and my wife's biometric appointment is tomorrow. When i click on the "Register at Commercial Partner" button it take's me to the VFS globe website and when i try to register it asks me to book another biometric appointment with a different GWF number. There is no option to book a scan document appointment in the UK, but i amuses i can have a "walk in" appointment in Leicester to scan them if i don't pay for the documents to be scanned in Bali (which i can't book and also the documents are in the UK, as i was going to send to Sheffield). But i really don't know.

To show i'm not relying on shares from the company.

Why would you need to prove that?? Where did you get the idea that this is required??

As i'm apply under Part 3A on the appendix form, It isn't needed but was recommend to me. I guess the case worker would do the search anyway, so saves them a job.

what is 'part 3a of the appendix'? I don't understand why you believe this document is necessary, you have not explained why you are proving you do NOT have shares etc held by family.

Presumably you work for an employer as PAYE salaried employee and your employer is not family??

Yes that's correct, I don't' really know why they recommend it, i didn't question it at the time as it was from a immigration solicitor who recommendation it. I guess it helps confirm I have submitted the right finance documents.

immigration solicitor who recommendation it.
Unsurprisingly, they don't actually always know what they are saying and often get the most basic applications horribly wrong, to the detriment of the applicant.
I guess it helps confirm I have submitted the right finance documents.
Submit only your employer letter, payslips and bank statements. Don't over complicate things by sending unnecessary documents.

Maybe you referring to section 3A of Appendix II. You don't need to clarify anything if you are working for an employer who is not your family member.

When to send supporting documents?

Post by Bule88 » Sun Jun 02, 2019 1:31 pm

Hi,

My wife had her biometric appointment on the 31/05/19 in Indonesia and we was planning to use the VFS centre in Leicester to scan the supporting documents but haven't received any information regrading when this needs to be submitted by, anyone know how long we have to submit the documents? It's non-priority by the way.

Thanks in advance.

In near past the supporting documents were required to send within 10-15 days. Try to send them asap and you can easily get walk in appointment to get these scanned, upload and send through vfs
