There is no official information suggesting that how long should it be valid for when entering UK. She can easily enter UK if her passport and spouse visa is still not expired. But still why not she just renew it wherever she is now because soon she will have to.trade60 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 12:15 amMy wife's passport expires in July (6 weeks) and she is convinced she will not be able to leave Thailand or Enter the UK with her spouse visa. The uk border force website does state:
'have a valid passport for the duration of your stay'
But i'm sure that is for holidays and not settlement visas... Can anyone clarify the rules or point me in the direction of the official information?
We prefer not to renew now for a few reasons, 1. I have limited time to go collect her from Bangkok, ideally next Monday 2. she is outside Bangkok and it takes 5 working days to get her passport back. 3. She is required to hand over her old passport containing the visa and if it goes missing in the post it could be a nightmare to get backseagul wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 12:33 amThere is no official information suggesting that how long should it be valid for when entering UK.
