Confused about flr (m) please help!

Hello all,
So I applied for a visa extension for my husband online, but now I’m not sure if I’ve applied for flr(m) or flr (fp) and the person at the centre Apparently told my husband that it takes up to six months using the standard service. I thought it was eight weeks! We need to go away abroad in August for personal reasons.

Online both forms are the same so I really don’t understand. Have I filled in the wrong form? What do I do? On the form I have filled out it’s said family route even though I chose spouse as my choice. We do have a British child together.

We applied on 26th May and visited the Croydon centre on the 29th. They didn’t take my husband’s passport or BRP in as they said everything is scanned, so that wasn’t sent off.

I also haven’t received any acknowledgement letter or email. Someone please help!

Correct form.

It can take up to 8 weeks and sometimes longer up to 6 months. It is a standard response.
