Lost reported BRP card found again and travelled to uk

Hi folks

I am bit lost and looking for guidance. We were in Spain last week where we thought we lost my wife's BRP card for ILR visa and we reported lost whilst we were at UK embassy in Spain. The UK embassy employees helped as my wife was pregnant and spoke to airline and foreign office in UK for let wife travel to UK (no certificate or letter given) .. however on the next day when we were due to travel back , we found BRP and wallet and travel back to UK (clearing UK boarder control)

Now questions is -
1. Shall we apply for new BRP card to be issued within UK ?

2. Or shall we apply for replacement BRP card as we reported BRP lost outside UK

We are feeling bit lost in the process .. we spoke to citizen advice buero but the advice was not clear and there is no number for us to call UKba . Pls pls suggest something if you have in this situation ...

That BRP have more likely be blocked/cancelled and you will have to apply its replacement.

thanks for your reply. as stated above we have reported lost on UKBA site however we allow to enter the UK and we now need to apply for new BRP card within uK.

Did you mention that you were allowed back into the uk with a cancelled BRP??

I’m going through a similar nightmare.

My BRP was lost and found but I reported lost so it’s been cancelled. A replacement visa will take 3 years from the country I am in!!
