Does anybody know or have any idea what are the criterias they use in order to approve some people very fast and for others it takes so much longer ... ?
I am from EU country, i applied on 28th of March, biometrics on 29th and paid £100.00 for that ... have never left the UK since arrived here, never changed address, never changed job, never claimed any benefits, never been in any problem with police or anything ,have no dependants ... i thought i would be approved with the speed of light ... yet ... here i am ...11 of June ... no sign of the brown envelope
My advise is do not say what you were not asked. You submitted your application already and this administrative penalty did not happen before your application was made. There is a high chance you might even get ur approval before this dwp situation is resolved. And if it affects you can request a reconsideration on the fact that you didn’t know you had to inform dwp of studies.Lina1993 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 4:49 pmHi all
DWP interview under caution
The same day I applied for British citizenship online I received a letter from the job centre asking me to attend an interview under caution on the 10th of June. On the 31 of may I received an email from the home office saying that they received my application and it will be processed within 6 months. I attended the interview on the 10th of June, and I found out that the reason of the interview is because I didn’t let the DWP know that I am a student and I was taking some benefits that I wasn’t eligible for. The outcome of the interview is not yet known but I’ve been told that the worst case scenario I’ll get an administrative penalty. Now my question is; is this whole situation will affect my British citizenship, And what should I do next regarding my application?
Thank you
waqarsadiqali wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 10:47 amI am applying for my citizenship application towards the end of this month. 2 questions,
1. I've opened my PVT LTD company and since 1st of May I am self employed. Do I need to submit any documents related to my employment? I am yet to registered with HMRC.
2. Or because the employment is not a requirement, can I just skip any document related to the employment and submit essential documents only such as passports, LIUK and English.
Please help. Thanks very much
Claiming benefits when not entitled To is a breach of immigration rules and visa and could well result in a refusal of citizenship. Ho checks all gov department records and will see the current issue the user is facing .Onesie2017 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 6:18 pmMy advise is do not say what you were not asked. I had a court case with tv license 5minutes after I submitted my application and I almost passed out from shock of what could happen. Approval came as expected with no drama.
Just my opinion anyway
You can move house and update your home address online. You will be required to upload bank statement and ID on the online form. This is updated same day.alexbran89 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 10:39 amI’m in the same boat, applied on the 24th Feb and my application was acknowledged on the 25th with email and case ID, biometrics done 6th March that’s when I found the appointment free of charge, I’ve uploaded everything myself to save the hassle there so they only did few bits and I was out in half hour.
They said that with this new systems application will take around 12 weeks but then again here I am also like you guys still waiting for a decision more then 3 months now.
It’s getting a bit stressful as I was planning to move house due to my landlord informing me that he’s put the property on the marked and he’s due to sell it next year , I was hunting for properties and I was due to move out about a month ago then I said I will just stay hoping they will send me a decision but no luck still so again I’m hunting for properties now hoping to move out in the next month or two and again hoping they will send me a decision by then.

Refusal due to TV licence only happens when you have been taken to court and been convicted.
Thank you for your replies, I am so anxious about the whole situation to the point where I can’t sleep properly at night, I think it’s a refusal for meCR001 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 6:24 pmClaiming benefits when not entitled To is a breach of immigration rules and visa and could well result in a refusal of citizenship. Thankscp1990 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 1:49 pmHi. I was asking this question myself, up until 3 weeks ago when I received my approval letter. I came here as a child, graduated from university, got a stable professional job, only left the UK 3 weeks at a time for holidays. I think the processing period varies a lot. I waited 16 weeks for my approval! Waiting longer for an approval does not necessarily mean there’s something wrong with your application. I would say that it is better if you have not received any communication as getting an email or phone call would usually mean they’ll want something else from you to support your application. Hang in there.

There is NO 180 days single absence limit for citizenship!!!asdap wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 11:27 pmHi all, I will soon be applying for my BC via ILR and I am worried that my absence in the UK will affect this. I did not go over 450 days of absence in the UK however, I do have an absence for a continuous 6 months and 22 days, and then I came back to the UK for 1 month and 11 days and then after that I left again for a continuous 5 months and 22 days. Is this a possible ground for my BC application to be rejected? Although I am aware that as long as I do not go over the 2 years, I should be okay but I'm worried this might be used against me as "not having enough strong ties to the UK" in my 5-year qualifying period.
Many thanks in advance!!
I applied on the 6th of feb. Got ceremony letter on 11th June. No approval letter yetScorpio111 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 1:23 pmHi respected members! Please anyone with refugees status route plus ILR who have applied within last 6 months for naturalisation and received any reply or outcome from the home office. Any update will be highly appreciated. Good luck everyone. God bless!
I wasn’t asked anything at all. I entered the UK legally but overstayed for 6weeks after my visiting visa expired. I was a minor (under 18) at the time and my overstay was beyond my control.Scorpio111 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 11:33 pmHi! Dear Mr Onesie2017! A lot of things are going on at the same time with regards to applications especially with the speedy settlement for EU citizens before 2020.Refugees786 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 1:46 pmHi! We are living in the UK a modern computerised and IT system and paid heavy fees but waiting for decisions more then 6 months. No legal system to ask them why doing delay without any reason on straight forward cases. Frustrating!

Which link were you using to to check application (status I guess?) ? I thought application tracking is not available anymore. Please, let us know the link. Thanks
