Hello, I am on tier2 general visa.my work assignment with current employer has ended. Can you please tell how much time I have to find new employer? Can I work before I get my visa from new employer?

There is no minimum time limit. Obviously everything will depend on how long it takes for you to get a curtailment letter from HO or what your visa expiry date is.

No you cannot work at all until you get a new visa.

HO will curtail your visa to 60 days and it counts from the date of HOs letter and not the date of your last employment.

You should not travel out of the UK until you get a new visa as the purpose of your stay has now changed and you could be refused entry and then face a 12 month cooling off period.

If you are out of the UK before HO sends a curtailment letter, your current visa will be curtailed with immediate effect as you have left the country.
