Maintenance Fund - Tier 1 from New Zealand

Hi; I have been in London since Oct 07 and will be returning to NZ to apply for my Tier 1.

I have an established base. (i.e. flat, job, bank account, furniture, car etc...)

It would not be an issue for me to get a job once I come back, or have a place to live in as I will be paying my rent while I'm back home

Everything is sweet as HOWEVER I do not meet the 2800GBP Maintenance fund requirement; is this requirement black and white? Or do they give room for people who are already established in the UK?

Thanks for your reply mate - I am aware that India did change their rules to allow leeway for it to only be one month - does anyone know more info on this?

Wrong info. !

The waiver was only for applicants from within UK, not for applicants from India - and was applicable only until 29-Jun. Now it's the same rule for everyone applying from anywhere.
