FLR(IR) Timeline

Post by jsjaxon » Wed Jun 19, 2019 2:43 am

Hi all,

Does anyone have any recent experience with the timeline for the FLR(IR) visa - specifically, I'm applying to switch from a Tier 5 to becoming a dependent on my partners UK Ancestry visa.

The options available with the new application process are either Standard (which takes up to six months) or Super Premium (within 24 hours)... but the priority service is at a £800 premium.

There's a huge difference between six months and 24 hours... so just wondering if anyone has used the Standard service recently and found it to be significantly faster than the advertised timeframe.

Cheers,

J.

It usually takes about 8 weeks for standard.

It normally take about 8-10 weeks. Unless one have urgent travel plan then super priority worth it but I wouldn't pay additional £800 since It doesn't actually reduce the time towards ILR. One still have to complete 5 years. So only pay if you have any urgent travel plans etc.
