Congratulations @sarki91

Can you please upload a covering letter after deleting the personal details please?

It will be great help for others too.

Thanks
Thanks @hrack1978.
Sure. It is as under. My wife has a masters degree from the UK and she lived one & a half year in the UK to complete her education in 2016.

Declaration by the EEA National that my Non-EEA Spouse will be traveling with me to the United Kingdom (UK)

To whom it may concern,

I, XXX an EEA citizen (Norwegian), with Passport number XXX is the spouse of the Applicant, XXX a non-EU citizen (Pakistani) with Passport number XXX.

I write to confirm my support for the visa application of my husband, XXX and wish for him to be granted an EEA Family Permit to enable him to accompany me to live permanently in the UK. I would also like to add here that I lived in the UK from September 2015 to February 2017 and completed my Master’s of Science in International Banking, Finance & Compliance from London Metropolitan University.

My husband and I met 11 years (June 2007) ago through social media (Netlog). It was March 2008 when we began our relationship. We communicated through calls & messages and were in a permanent relationship since then. We got engaged on 24th February 2018 and got married on 22nd December 2018 in Pakistan. We lived together in Pakistan from December 2018 to April 2019 after our marriage. I flew back to Norway in May 2019 due to my job.

I respectfully ask that the family permit to be issued to my husband as indicated on Directive 2004/38/EC, for which he is submitting the following supporting documents:

• Copy of my EEA passport
• My husband´s passport (non-EU passport)
• My husband’s national identity card
• Printed and Signed Application form
• Marriage Registration certificate (By NADRA)
• Nikkah Nama (Original & translated)
• A selection of our online chat/call history via gmail, whatsapp, Line & facebook
• A selection of photographs from our time together including some wedding photos
• Honeymoon trip to Dubai (tickets and hotel invoice)
• Trip to Karachi-Pakistan (tickets and hotel invoice)
• Copy of my Master’s Degree from London Metropolitan University
• Copy of my husband’s ACA Certificate from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP)

I understand that under The Immigration (EEA) Regulations 2016, my family member and I have an initial right of residence. This is an application under EU law and I understand that it will be processed as soon as possible and on a priority basis.

Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me via email XXX@gmail.com or telephone +47XXXX.

Yours faithfully,
XXX

I need answers to this question too. Further more are we to upload the the application forms ourselves?

Will appreciate someone answering this.

Best regards
Hello @abimfol & @spat

I tried to upload the documents but it was very slow and received errors multiple times so I just skipped the uploading process and paid a minimal amount for documents scanning at visa center. The visa center scanned all my documents (Original and photocopies) and returned all the documents to me. They didn't take any of my documents physically, only the passport. So, in my experience, documents scanning at the visa center is a very fast and effective way of submission.

Hi all! I’ve applied for an EEA Family Permit with my French partner (PACS, opposite gender however so we applied as ‘durable partners’ and not as civil partners since the UK won’t recognize those until later this year).

Submitted online application and documents: May 19
Biometrics: June 5
Received "being prepared for a decision email": June 13
Received "decision made, please submit your passport within 30 days": June 19

Does anyone know if them asking me to resubmit my passport means anything decision-wise? I opted for the keep your passport option.

Hey, i think that you have to apply EU SETTLEMENT SCHEME FAMILY PERMIT. Because you want to join your husband in UK.

Here about in website:
UE Settlement Scheme family permit
Apply for the EU Settlement Scheme family permit if you’re the close family member of an EEA or Swiss national and they have ‘settled’ or ‘pre-settled’ status under the EU Settlement Scheme.

You must be a ‘close’ family member, such as a spouse, civil partner, dependent child or dependent parent.

Hi Guys,

Please, can someone help here? I am about to apply for a family permit to join my wife who is already in the UK with a pre-settled status. At this point, I am not sure whether to apply for EU settlement scheme family permit or the EEA family permit. What's the difference between this two? And also am I to submit the same set of documents as EEA family permit if I were to apply for the EU settlement scheme family permit?

Please would like someone to guide me here.

thanks

@ron34 Well, from what I have read so far online, I think close family member can also apply for EEA family permit. The EU settlement scheme FP is for applicants that their spouse have settled or pre-settled status. I will advise you to go ahead and support

Can I ask what document you are planning to submit alongside your application? I just want to be sure I submit my application correctly.

Thanks for the information. Do I need to include my wife's divorce certificate? as she was previously married before. It has been translated to English from Romanian. the translation was done since July 6, 2018, almost a year now. Can we use it like that or we need to do another translation?

I am residing in Germany now my wife left for the UK in January. The problem with the land border for me is because I don't have a residence card of a family member here in Germany. I only have my student residence card. The plan was to settle here in Germany after our marriage in September of last year but my wife found a job in December last year in the UK (for her to start January this year) coupled with her struggling with German language, we decided it's best if we move to the UK as the English language is not a problem for both of us.

The EU settlement scheme family permit application form has nowhere to fill in this information of previous marriage. I am thinking of not putting the divorce certificate or better to put it to avoid some troubles.

Also, how do I add WhatsApp chat as proof? We have been chatting on WhatsApp since March 2017. do I make screen short or do I export to pdf? that's going to be about a thousand page
