Tier 2 general visa UK first point of entry

I am a holder of tier 2 general visa UK and my workplace as per my sponsorship certificate is in Manchester. Am I allowed to land in London Heathrow and then take a train to Manchester as it's cheaper or should I be landing directly in Manchester. In other words will the immigration officer question me why I landed in London when my workplace is in Manchester
