What kind of questions do they ask in the interview? I have been asked to go lunar house in Croydon. I just want to have an idea before I go in. thanks
Is this your initial screening interview or your main interview thus 2nd?

hello rina... how did you know @capt03141729 received good news because he did not come online again to update us.
I am guessing because one minute he was updating us and next minute he disappeared so I am believing he is celebrating his freedom :D

First of all let me warn you that there is a lot of waiting around so be prepared. The screening is basically all about your immigration history and why you are applying for asylum. The is a possibility that you will have a video interview by that I mean the person will not be physically in the room but on a monitor. After the interview there is more waiting around you then you will be called back to proof read your statement and sign. You will then be given some notes to take away with you.

Everyone gets one and you should get it in a week or 2. I got excited thinking it was my BRP card as that is what the attempted delivery letter said so don't fall for it like I did. I had my screening in march and am still waiting for my invitation for main interview. Spoke to office 2 months ago and they said it can take up to a yr to even get a letter.

My application is flr fp private route...I have a partner who is British and I have no kids. I have brothers who are British as well. My reason for not wanting to go back home is I have no family member over there and also the country is not a safe place at the moment among other reasons. I got confused when I received a letter to attend asylum unit at Croydon because I never applied for asylum but I was told at the screening that the reason I was told to come for interview is because of one of the reason for not wanting to go back home is fearing for my life.

This topic is NOT for flr fp applications. It is for aslyum applications only and posting here is just taking the thread off topic and it is unfair to other users asking about their asylum apps.

YES I paid for that application plus the surcharge. I was told by a woman after my screening interview that the reason why I was told to come for interview is because I put in my cover letter that one of the reason I can’t go back home is because I’m in fear of my life. I replied her saying that’s one of the reasons not the ONLY reason. Has anyone been through the same thing on here? Thanks for the reply

hello shay007... This first time I hear this and your lawyer should have told you that no need to waste your money and you should have just apply for asylum and inside asylum they look flr fp. and they look at article 8 inside asylum... because asylum cover everything. your lawyer should have told you all this. and they can treat your flr fp as asylum.

I didn’t know about all that but I was advised to go with the private life route because I have a strong case. Mayb that’s the way they do it now or mayb because of that one line in my cover letter who knows. I will check around for more information to see similarities with other people’s cases.

I should receive ARC in the post soon but I don’t know about benefits. I have been signing already so that’s nothing new. Have you done your main interview?

No have not done the main interview since over 1year now and why did they told you to always signing in since you did not apply for asylum and they don't need to send you ARC since you did not apply for asylum ... unless they have cancel your flr fp and home office as put you on asylum case direct.. like me I apply for asylum direct I did not do private life okay.. you did paid application and they treat you like us because we did not do paid application and why did they told you to go for sign in why since you on paid application.

The mail from DX was my wife's Asylum Registration Card with Right to Work though not under the Shortage of occupations. Still waiting for mine to come through as the initial ones issued to us 2months ago didn't state our rights to work

Hi,
Lodged FS on November 2017 today I received a letter to enrol my biometric.

Is that a good thing?
Anyone has had such experience?

I already have my ARC with permission to work so I am wondering why they asked me to do my biometric.

Thanks

I don't understand this .... I have not get any reply from home office and am going to see my lawyer best week to write them for me..
