You are the applicant, you complete the form with your details as the main applicant and tick the relevant box on page 13 and state the route you are appling under in the relevant box on page 14.1) How do you go about completing the form as a dependant only? Is there a way to distinguish that I am a joiner and not that both of us are applying from the start again?
It does say MAY not MUST. If only you are applying, you pay the 'Single (no dependents)' application fee of £993 (postal) or £993 plus £590 for in person same day PLUS the Immigration health surhcharge.2) As an extension to question 1 is the fee payable that of a single applicant or does it require the fee associated with a single applicant plus one dependant? The exact wording is "You may include your spouse, civil partner, unmarried or same-sex partner and/or children under the age of 18 if they are applying as your dependants. However, they must pay the full specified fee if they apply separately."
Correct yes to your questions.StewbobClark wrote: ↑Fri Jul 13, 2018 8:57 pmI was just wondering whether the advice presented by CR001 was correct?
When applying as a Dependant only, does the Dependant apply as the Applicant in Section 1 of FLR(IR)?
And therefore is Section 2 left blank?
Is the cost of this kind of application only £1033 (as of July 2018)?
Really?? It is a non PBS work visa category. Same as what you applied for except they choose dependents as the drop down option for sub category.mannyF wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 10:36 pmSorry mate, just a quick question please. I recently came over on an ancestry visa, have now secured job and own accommodation so ready to bring the family over, wife + 2 kids. I am struggling to find the correct forms to complete for my dependants. Please, please provide me with some guidance on this matter. I have been trawling the UKVI website for 2 days and am not sure which form to use, as there is no specific form for NOn-PBS dependants, so to speak.
Any assistance would be amazing
Dependants applying outside the UK
Your family members must apply online.
They’ll need to have their fingerprints and photograph (known as ‘biometric information’) taken at a visa application centre as part of their application.
They may be able to get their visa faster or other services depending on what country they’re in - check with the visa application centre.
So what options are you given in the 3 drop down menus?? We don't have access to the online forms as would have to register for each form query members post.mannyF wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 10:42 pmI have been to that part of the website over and over again. If you continue that way, it takes you to a page where you register, which is fine, and then it asks you to choose the visa you want to apply for and there is no Ancestry dependent, Non PBS only has a handful of specific jobs, including sheep shearer and cabin crew, they are not on any PBS, I am not sponsoring them etc etc. So I am really confused as to what to do.
Thanks for the link though, but that's not helping. A friend that complete the same process used an NON PBS dependant form, which i really cannot locate.
Once you register and complete the personal details it should give the menus towards the bottommannyF wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 10:45 pmAlright, I will try selecting dependant in the drop down - where exactly is the drop down menu sub category. Like how far into the form. I have just started another ancestry application and so far have not come across it? Yeah I am probably being really slow. Appreciated.
Yes. You should get ancestry or work and then work or ancestry and then dependent ancestry or dependent other.mannyF wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 11:07 pmSo I have clicked on the link to the 'new' system, visa type, again I have located non-PBS which is great....it the n takes me to a page and asks which type of non-PBS and the ONLY options are:
an airline employee
an offshore worker
a representative of an overseas business
a sheep shearer
Non-EEA or Swiss nationals working for Swiss employers (Swiss posted worker)
a Turkish businessperson or worker (for employment or self-employment)
Non-EEA nationals working for EU employers (Van der Elst worker)
Alternatively, should I go and apply for ancestry visa and hope there is a part where dependants can apply? WHat are your thoughts?
