I got ILR and on that basis my kids registered for citizenship and i didn't apply for their passport yet. We are looking to travel in emergency to Home country as all of us got home country passport and we allow to keep dual nationality. My question is that possible for my kids to back UK with their citizenship certificate along with home country passport as they don't have any visa on their Home country passport ?

They won't be able to board a plane. The registration certificate is not a travel document. They will need a British passport of Certificate of Entitlement to Right of Abode.

Why did you not apply for passports using the 1 week fast track service for the children??

Costs a bit more, maybe £20 or £30 more.
