Change of Address

Post by shah175 » Sat Jul 05, 2008 6:12 pm

Hi Every body, I applied for HSMP on 7 April and recieved Ref # on 21 April, approx 80 days have passed. I have got one problem. I m leaving for vacation and i want to notify HO for change of address, I sent email them on hsmp.workpermits@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk but the mail returned by saying "we are currently unable to offer an urgent service or progress updates". previously there was one fax number 0114 207 6021 also mentioned on web site but they have made several changes on web and I am really unable to search how to notify them for change of address for HSMP applicant. Please Help

Thanks

Shah

Have you tried calling their customer helpline w/your reference number? If you're lucky and if they haven't sent out the decision packet out yet they might be able to accomodate you.

I had to do this for myself but a fax had worked just fine - early last yr.

See HSMP waiting times

Unless you don't plan to return to the original address anytime soon, do you want to send them a change request .... given that your application hasn't even been assigned to CW yet.

Anyhow, as suggested above, best to call UKBA customer care and double-check if your application has been updated with address change as per your email. Don't expect them to reply to your email confirming updation of records.
