IELTS Level A2 or B1

Hi All,

Good morning.

I have an ILR. However my wife's has been in UK for 4 years and her BRP is due for renewal this Sep-2019.

For the proof of English language, does she need to take IELTS level A2 or B1?

The reason I am asking is because IELTS B1 is normally advisable for ILR application, but her application in this case is still Dependant Visa (BRP) extension. On IELTS website, there are mentions of Level A2 for extension visa.

What category of dependent visa exactly does she hold??

On what basis did you get ILR??

If she was on flr fp 10 years of route then no test will be needed on extension otherwise doing B1 ielts life skills test is much better which can be reusable again at ILR stage.
