Best Visa Option to UK from Australia

Post by Lizziebee7 » Sat Jul 13, 2019 1:50 am

Thank you in advance for any advice.
I am an Australian citizen, female aged 70 yrs and currently retired from active employment.
I am fit and healthy without any serious health issues.
I am seeking to move to the UK to live near my daughter and her partner who both are settled, employed and have ILR.
I would not be dependent on them for financial support as I am financially independent. I currently receive an Australian pension which I would retain in the UK.
I could apply for Ancestry as I have British born grandparents as this would give me work rights.
I have been offered employment on a part time basis in my daughter's business as an administrator should an Ancestry visa be successful.
My questions are:
1. Would my application for Ancestry have a chance at success?
2. Are there alternative visas I could apply for in pref to Ancestry?

1. There is no age limit for an ancestry visa. You simply need to qualify and have all the birth and marriage certs to prove ancestry and show intent to work, even part time and have an initial savings amount of around £1650. Visa costs £516 plus £2000 IHS.

2. Not really no based on what you have stated.
