T2G - extension, business trip

Hi, I have a question.

I am applying for a 6 month Tier 2 visa (as an extension). My company would like me to go on a 3 to 4 months business trip abroad - with the trip funded by the company abroad. Is this allowed as per rules on a Tier 2 visa?

If you are no longer working in the UK on your sponsors payroll, my understanding is they have to inform HO and you risk your visa being curtailed/cancelled.

The fund is from a company abroad and they will inject the money into my sponsor's payroll.

Therefore, will that be an issue because the fund is from overseas to the UK and I will receive a training at the sponsor's company abroad for a collaborative project?
