Biometric renewal

Post by knh2a » Sun Jul 28, 2019 9:25 pm

Hello,

My husband and I are Americans based in London with ILR status. We have a 7 yo boy with ILR status and a 10month old with a UK visa. We are due to travel to the States the final two weeks of August for a last minute trip to visit an unwell relative. My son's biometric card has expired and I'm wondering if someone could advise me the fastest way of getting this renewed in time for our trip? Or would it be faster to apply for his UK passport, which he now qualifies for? We are due to fly out 17th August

Thanks

If your child was born after you had your ILR, then you can apply for his British passport and you should get it within 3 weeks
