Post by raamch » Thu Jul 10, 2008 7:30 am

Hi:

It seems to be you are very senior in this and had much info.. i am i a strange situation.

I had all necessary scoring with me, but regd funds i had a problem. i visited VFS office couple of times and enquired with them can i get a sponser and can the sponser be in india. all the time ( vfs hyd n vfs bangalore ppl) confiremed yes to all. And i cant show fixed deposits.

but few days back when i am submitting the application, they didnt accept my applicaiton caliming i can get a sponser. Also they said i can show fixed deposits for my funds attaching a letter from bank stating that the fds can be liquified or encashed any time and original FD certificates.

my problem is my FDs are in a co-operative society. a cooperative socity is financial body which works allmost like a bank... can i show the funds from co-operative society? and also i am so much confused with VFS ppl... as they are not providing proper information.

please help me on this.....

Thanks in advance...

Don't rely on information given by VFS (actually even they are unaware of the exact rules most of the times). As I suggested in http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=28506, email BHC your queries for sure and definite reply.

Saw your PM but I am unable to comment on your query regarding co-op society holdings.

As suggested above, check with BHC directly.
