I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but after trawling the boards last night I couldnt find the info I was looking for, nor indeed on the .gov website...
Does anyone happen to know or have a comprehensive list of the documents required for ILR via Ancestry? all the info I have come accross is a bit vauge, and the guidance notes I fianlly found from the old paper form were less than helpfull in this respect. My husband is due to apply for his ILR the first week of november, so we are starting to get organised, but it seems there is confusion about how much evidence he needs. When his aunt and uncle applied 18months ago, the requirements changed from 5 years of eveidence to just 2, but I can find nothing to support this. We thought starting the online application would allow us access to any guidance notes or list, but it didn't. I have read through an old 2015 thread on here, but that was some time ago, and I got confused as to whether he still needs birth certificates from is grandmother and father for the ILR given they were provided for the ancestry visa in the first place...
To clarify our situation, he is South African, here on an Ancestry visa, which expires on 04th December this year, he entered the UK on the 29th December 2014, so he is planning on applying for ILR on 08th November this year. I am a UK national, so its just him. Both the life in the UK test, and english speaking and listening tests have been booked for September, so its just clarification on what documentation is required that we need, and a lot of patience, as now the priortiy fee has been hiked to £800!!! we will have to wait it out! lol
Many Thanks in advance for any insight anyone can offer.
Sam
