Is the Beta online application from within the UK form FLR - FP or FLR M ?

Post by Wilsonp360 » Tue Aug 06, 2019 9:54 am

Hello,

I have applied for a marriage visa to continue living in the UK with my fiancé, and marry her once my visa has been issued.

On the 23rd of April I finished submitting my application, using the UKVI Beta online application process (which is mandatory if applying inside the UK) using this link https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... ily-routes
On the 25th I submitted my Biometrics, and had my documents scanned and submitted. At no point in this process did I see a form number, or fill out anything by hand.

After 8 weeks I called the support line for an update on my application, and was told they could not help me without knowing the form number I've applied with. However there was never a form number on any document I've submitted, as it seams the process has been unified though one online application.

On the exact section of the home office website which linked me to the online application, the processing time was listed at 6 weeks for domestic applications. However as it's now been nearly 4 months, I'm growing suspicious that my application was actually form FLR FP with a 6 month processing time.

Is there any way to verify which form or processing schedule I might be on?

Has anyone else had confusion using the beta online application process?

What is your UK immigration history??

You cannot apply for a fiance visa within the UK, so hopefully this is not what you meant by 'marriage visa'. If you are unmarried, it is FLR(M) Unmarried Partner visa you apply for, which requires substantial evidence for the last 2 years.

I've lived in the UK off and on for the last 6 years, predomantly on volunteer worker visas. I've provided evidence with my application that we have been loving together, and sharing finances for over a year, provided our decloration to the council for our marriage, and evedence that we've known eachother and eachothers family for years.

Is there any way to confirm if it was the FLR(M) visa? With thw current online application - will it automatically submit using the relevent form based on my answers in the application? It seams odd to me that there would be no record or evedence for the form the application was processed under.

You need two years evidence of living in a relationship akin to marriage. This is mandatory and there is no discretion by ho on meeting this as unmarried partners.

Did you get an email after your online submission??

Thanks for your clarification and insight. I'm aware that there's a high probability I will be refused on grounds of the living situation. We were not aware of the 90 day waiting period required before an international marriage, meaning my previous visa expired before it was possible for us to marry. At the time it seamed like the best option to apply regardless in order to remain in the country and not overstay a visa.

That being said, I'm still very keen to understand what sort of timeline the application process will be on.

I did receive a confirmation email after my online submission confirming payment, confirming my NHS surcharge payment, and confirming my biometric appointment.
