Nonsense. Many spouses get visas even though they are arranged by consent marriages. HO does specifically take arranged marriages into consideration.marsupilami wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 2:31 pmI don't see any way that such an application could be succesful. It flashes all the Home office red lights that would make them assess your relationship as non-genuine (it doesn't matter that you say it is, what matters is that THEY say it is). The most very basic requirement is that you should have been in a relationship for AT LEAST two years, or to be married, and still, you will not escape the submission of abundant documentation to prove the relationship is genuine. You speak of "hang around a few weeks" after marriage. Well I'm not saying anything but there is a dude in this website who submitted 650 photos of him and his lady and the application got rejected.

Yes. The mandatory requirement of 'having met in person' will have been met when they marry. They are not getting married by video.marsupilami wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 2:38 pmeven "arranged by consent" through videos??????CR001 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 2:32 pmNonsense. There is no requirement to have a two year relationship to get a visa if you are married. It ONLY applies to unmarried partner visas.marsupilami wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 2:49 pmok but then it doesn't contradict what I explained above: they must either have been in a relationship for two years, or married. If they are married, the two-years condition is lifted, no? But still he will have to submit load of documents proving the relationship, or else I don't understand: I've been married for 7 years (almost eight) and still I had to submit hundreds of "genuine relationship" documents. As I don't have the outcome of my own application, I still don't know if all that was necessary of if I could have submitted less.
The dude who submitted 650 photos was an Albanian gentleman on this website although I can't remember the particular post. He also satisfied the financial requirements but got rejected because, if I remember, the HO caseworker did not look at his stuff properly...
uj95 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 2:22 pmHi,
Can i have clarification on the following points as it is a bit hard to get information regarding this.
Situation:
- Engagement done via video call in April
- Been texting nearly everyday since (via Whatsapp or video call)
- Money sent over for wedding prep (have pictures of the receipt).
- Booked ticket to Pakistan in October for wedding. Will meet in person for first time, get married and hang out for couple of weeks).
Questions:
1. When is the earliest I can put in an application for the VISA (she will have completed her A1 English test and TB test by October hopefully). Can I put in the application in straight away (end of Oct) or do I have to wait a number of months?
2. Considering the first time we will meet in person is in October, from when would I submit the communication records? After marriage (Oct) or after engagement (April)? If it is after October and if I apply straight away, then there won't be much communication to provide.
3. When (hopefully) the visa is granted and she has 28 days to come to the UK, can we both go on a weeks' honeymoon on the way to the UK to either Turkey/Dubai/Qatar etc. (provided the visitor visa has been accepted by the country of holiday)?
Thanks for your help in advance.
P.S. Can other members not hijack on my thread with their own personal questions until my questions have been answered.
Yes.
The visa is valid for 30 days and not only used for traveling, but must be valid at the moment you collect the BRP in the UK
That PS is rude when asking for advice. No one is "hijacking" your thread. This is a public forum, we don't have the duty to respond your question, and if we do, we also have the right to discuss topics and learn from what other members are questioning/answering based on what you're asking. If you want a professional straightforward response, hire a solicitor then
Thanks. I didn’t mean to sound rude, it’s just whenever I have previously posted the question was never answered as other members used the topic to ask questions that weren’t related to the topic (maybe I should have been more clear). I have seen comments from the moderators in the past asking members to create their own topic as it wasn’t relevant to the subject.Jaune08 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 6:55 pmYes.

1+2. You can apply straight away after marriage by declaring it as an arranged marriage about which the caseworker must already be familiar with and also they have a comprehensive manual about it too. Make sure to attach wedding ceremonies pictures, family and individual photo session, receipts of all those items bought/booked for wedding, wedding invitation cards, wedding gifts, tickets and all of your previous chat. A1 test and TB test is fine.uj95 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 2:22 pmHi,
