Cover Letter

Hi Everyone, Just wondering if anyone can confirm if my cover letter is ok? It fits on to one page. Do i need to do a seperate letter to explain why i changed jobs as i changed within the last 12 months or is what i wrote here sufficient?

Subject: Application for a UK Settlement Spouse Visa

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to confirm my sponsorship of my wife XXX for her spousal visa to join me in the United Kingdom.

I am a British national and an experienced complaints handler. I am currently working for XXX in the permanent role of a Customer Relations Executive for the salary of £25,000 per year. I joined XXX in July 2019 due to a salary increase of £5000 per year and also the office is located closer to my home. Prior to this I worked for XXX for almost 3 years with an annual salary of £19,900. I have sufficient funds to provide for my wife however she is very eager to find a job as soon as possible in order to contribute to our family income. XXX studied nursing at university level and has also worked within the banking and call centre sector for various companies including Barclays.

I am currently living with my parents in a 2-bedroom private owned home. I have my own bedroom with a double bed and a double wardrobe ready for when my wife arrives. My parents XXX and XXX have confirmed that they have no objection to my wife living with us at XXX as we have sufficient room.

I initially met XXX online in July 2017, we initially exchanged messages for a few months before we shared Facebook details. We initially met in January 2018 after months of talking. I have now been back to visit my wife as many times as physically possible, I try and go 3 times a year where my company allows. We have also travelled together to Hong Kong, South Korea and around the Philippines. We got married at Manilla City Hall on the 8th July 2019 in a small civil ceremony. We plan to save together and have a more lavish wedding with all of our friends and families within the next 2-3 years.

We want to continue our lives together in the United Kingdom due to my career commitments here as I am working towards becoming a quality analyst. XXX will also pursue a career within the call centre or banking sector.
