Which TD do I go to? Do I pick one from my local county and ask for an appoitment? I'm not sure how all of this works.aneelrahim wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 9:21 pmI suggest you to call on Tuesday and Thursday. Also send written letter for inquery status.
Also ask your TD to send them email.hopefully you will get something from them.
I'm assuming you're applying for citizenship of Ireland. Not sure what you mean by the "board"?epoxyglue328 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 8:58 pmMy application's status hasn't changed for one year now even after multiple email inquiries to the board.
In most cases there is no fee for personal records. In my case there was no fee.
I posted my request, and dealt with them by email after that. I think it is possible to request by email.epoxyglue328 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 8:58 pm2.Can I make a FOI request by email or do I have to send a letter to them? Which one is better?

By board I meant the department that deals with citizenships. Thanks for your informative reply!markem wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 10:12 pmI'm assuming you're applying for citizenship of Ireland. Read the Department's guidelines here, and there is a link to their request form. You will need to provide identification (e.g. photocopy of passport photo page).
