Tier 2 General application, IHS surcharge 0, advice?

Post by Cymjay » Mon Aug 19, 2019 1:01 pm

My wife is currently a Tier 2 dependent on my visa. She is in the process of getting a Tier 2 General for herself.

We put through her application last week and the IHS surcharge was 0. This seems wrong. We contacted UKVI who said someone will contact us if there is a pending payment. There has been no contact in the last 5 working days.

She has her appointment for Biometrics on 2/9/2019.

Should we cancel and redo the application to see if the IHS fee will change? If we do will we get a refund for the Visa fee which was already paid.

If we leave it as is and she attends her appointment what are the potential outcomes?

Hi.

I think UKVI will contact you after you submit your biometrics. If IHS payment is incorrect, then the caseworker contacts you to make appropriate fee. This happens only after you submit bio metrics and someone is assigned to look into your application.

you can cancel the application and get refund if you have not completed biometrics.
