spouse visa requirements

Post by ST117 » Wed Aug 21, 2019 8:05 pm

I called the UK visa office today and was told that if my annual income did not meet the £18.600 requirement for a spouse visa that we would need to have £64,000 in savings. Surely this can't be right?! I questioned the amount but she insisted it was correct. I don't know many people who have this sort of money sitting in their account and in all honesty if I had this amount of money at my disposal I wouldn't be trying to get my partner to come to the UK I would be joining him in the sun. Can anyone tell me if this is actually the correct amount.

It is correct unfortunately but it is £62,500 not £64,000.

What is your income?? PAYE or self employed?

What level of savings do you have?
Char (CR001 not Casa)
