Spouse Visa- British Citizen returning to the UK

Post by jre123 » Tue Aug 27, 2019 8:25 pm

Hi,

I was hoping someone may have some advice or answers to some questions regarding my application for my wife's spouse visa to the UK. I have been living overseas for 3 years and I have just moved back to the UK in July this year. Me and my partner have applied for the spouse visa (She is a non EU national), we met all the financial requirements, as I had earned over 18600 overseas within the last 6 months and I have also got a job lined up paying over the required 18600 amount (in the UK). However, the job is not something I would be interested in doing, but it was the first thing that became available and allowed us to apply for the visa at the earliest possible time. I was wondering, if I leave this job while the visa is processing, will it have an affect on the visa? Or is it just a matter of the HO want proof you are able to earn over the 18600? Is there a specific amount of time you just stay in this role or is it simply an offer of employment they are looking for?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot!

Preferably dont leave your job until the visa gets processed because during the process HO may call your employer and if you wont be there then your application might be refused/delayed.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
