Child dependent visa

I am married to British for 7 years and now live in UK under spouse visa for a year. I have 1 daughter from my previous marriage. I had applied dependent visa for my daughter last june and we had received an email last 27th august to pay for IHS surcharge. Normally as per my friends, home office will ask to pay for IHS surcharge after 2 weeks submitted the application. My question is why do i have to wait almost three month to pay for surcharge? Is there any possibility they accepted the visa? I am so nervous to wait for the visa. Away from the child is a nightmare for me? Her visa was refused last year because of no full custody and after i got the full custody i re apply the application. Please i need advice

There no normality concept when it comes to Home Office timeline.

You can apply for something and get it in a week while your friend applies for the same and gets it after 6 months. It's up to them and no one ever pierced this mystery. To get an idea, you can have a look to "timelines threads" to see the disparity.

At the moment, if they ask you to pay the IHS charge, pay it. Then wait and see.
