Tier 2 for Contract work

Hi, i am working as RMO in uk on tier 2 visa working with NES on one year contract, i would like to end my contract for which i have to give 3 months notice, will my COS will end with them as soon as i finish my notice?, i would like to know if i can do locum jobs without cos in the uk until my visa is valid.and what other options do i have?

Your sponsor has to inform HO within 10 days of your last working day that you are no longer an employee.

You cannot do secondary or supplementary work for 20 hours a week if you are no longer working for your main sponsor. You will need to find another sponsor and apply for another tier 2 before you can do any work again.
