Ways a Dependent to get Tier-4 or Tier-1 visa

Post by iamsam2018 » Mon Sep 02, 2019 5:31 pm

Dear Expert,

I am currently on Tier-2 ICT Long Term visa in UK with my wife and a kid who are on Dependent visa. What are the options available for my wife to go for Tier-4 or Tier-1 visa considering she is through-out house-wife so far.

Also if she can manage a Tier-4 or Tier-1 visa, how can I switch myself from Tier-2 ICT to Dependent visa?

Many Thanks for your expert advice.

Are you referring to a Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa? This route closed to new applicants on the 29th March 2019.

In that case, what are the possibilities a current Dependent can switch to Tier-4 visa considering she is being a house-wife so far.

She needs a sponsor on a qualifying course to offer her a CAS before she can apply. She will also pay international fees.

https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa

She also has to apply from home country.

Thanks for your response. So As my spouse is currently in UK, so she might not be able to secure Tier-4 visa. Is there any way to switch myself from Tier-2 ICT to ILR/General visa without leaving UK?

1. Not sure why you believe she can't get a university admission?? She need to apply for the visa from home country.

2. No you cannot as ICT does not lead to ilr based on 5 years residence and you were also already advised in your other topic about tier 2 general

Thanks for your response. Actually I do not have a clear way in front of mein on how to proceed to the right way hence I might getting lost in different ways and options.

So considering she is currently on Dependent visa in UK, if you can advice me a how she can proceed with application to Universities and what she need to do then I will be really greatful to you. If you can direct me to any blog or some clear instruction page will definately help me a lot in order to pursue her for a University degree. Many Many Thanks for your support!

She needs to do her own research on university websites and what she wants to study and contact the universities directly. We can't help you with that unfortunately. She is looking at fees of around £12,000 per year for a degree.
