Tier1(General) application maintenance funds help!!!

Post by ravinder.are » Tue Jul 15, 2008 10:48 am

Dear group,

I am new to this group, i am going to apply for Tier1(General) visa in next month.
Today i sent a mail to Chennai.VisaEnquiry@fco.gov.uk regarding maintenance funds.
i asked them
1. maintenance funds
I have fixed deposits of Indian Rupees 3,50000/- in ICICI bank and
those FDs are on my name and attached to my savings A/C . These FDs i
deposited on feb 2008 for a period of 1 year 24 days.Thse FDs can be
withdrawn at any time before maturity period(1 year 24 days) .If i
with draw before maturity period , i will get less intrest than they
mentioned on the FD paper and this note is clearly mentioned on the FD
paper. These FDs are my own and I can withdrwn at any time even before
the maturity period.

Now my dought is, these FDs can show as my Maintenance funds?
or shall I withdraw the money and keep that money in my savings A/C
for a period of 3 months?

and their replay is
FDs are acceptable if accompanied by an original bank letter stating they are instantly encashable for a known sum, and we can be sure they have been held for the 3-month period.

shall i proceed to show the FDs as maintenance funds.

my dear group and seniors Please advise me !!

Thanks
Are

When BHC has given you a confirmation, why are you so confused (still)?? :?
