How to answer Sec 3.3 of VAF4A-App2 when you have a mix of jobs in last 12 months
Post by MikeManU » Thu Sep 12, 2019 10:30 am

I am a little bit confused how best to answer the questions in section 3 of Appendix 2 of VAF4A because I had a mix of jobs in the last 12 months. Here are details.

1. Worked for private company from Jan 2017 to Jun 2019 (gross pay £24,000 pa)
2. Also worked for NHS bank (zero contracted hours) as part-time during above period. (gross pay around £6,000 pa)
3.Resigned from private company in June 2019 and increased my hours at NHS bank job from July 2019 (gross pay £1800 per month)

Q.1. My income from current zero contracted hours is around £21,600 (£1800 x 12 months) but I will only have 3 months payslips from this job at the time of application. So do I need to mention my previous job that has ended to support my visa application?

Q.2. I had been working for NHS bank from 2017 but I only worked part-time hours, so in the last 12 months my average income was about £6,000 if we ignore the last 3 months when I increased my hours. Will they calculate my income only on last 12 months of NHS bank job [(9 months at £500 x 9) + (3 months at £1800 x 3) = £8,100]? Or will they accept the increased hours at NHS and calculate 12 months x £1800 = £21,600 .

Q.3. Or should I wait until I have 6 payslips?

Q.4. Should I STOP looking for a job as I am getting some interviews until I have applied for visa, as I may have to get 6 months payslip from the new job before applying?

Sorry for a lot of details. I very much appreciate your help.
