Tier 2 ICT long term to Tier 4 in 2020

Post by Azj345 » Thu Sep 12, 2019 10:26 am

Hello,

I am in UK on a Tier 2 ICT visa. I have spent 1 year already. I want to pursue a 2-year MSc Data Science part time program from may 2020. Here are the doubts that i want to clarify:

1. Can I study part time masters degree while I'm working on tier 2 ICT?

2. If so will I be considered as international student or UK/Eu students (when it comes to fee structure)

3. If my tier 2 ICT cos/ BRP terminates in between part time study say after 1 year, will I be able to get tier 4 visa for part time masters degree ?

4. And If I get tier 4 visa for part time study , will I get newly proposed 2 years post study visa ?

5 . If I complete masters In tier 2 ICT will I get 2 years post study work visa ?

6 . And If I don't have enough 2 years ICT visa can I apply for masters assuming my visa extendeds after 1 and half year.

Thank you .
Cheers,

Yes. Anyone with any type of visa can study if they wish, except those with a study restriction (Tier 4, short-term student, standard visitor)

You are very unlikely to be "home", but you can check at https://www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information-- ... the-basics

In theory yes, but it depends on the sponsor. Some sponsors don't sponsor for part-time courses.

The rules and eligibility have not been announced yet. There is some basic information here:

Yes, that is your responsibility to make sure you extend your visa or get a new one to complete the course.

Thank you sah.

Just got an another doubt. According to previous rules after tier 4 visa, we are entitled with 3 months to find the tier 2 general visa sponsor .

If we switch to tier 4 from tier 2 ict long-term in between the part time ms course do we get 3 months after course ?

Thank you .

See the Tier 4 Policy Guidance, paragraph 287 "Length of time a Tier 4 (General) Student can come to the UK for".
