Spouse visa

Post by pipe1 » Wed Jul 16, 2008 5:16 pm

I hope someone can help.

My son is just about to get married in Mexico.

If his wife comes to the UK as a visitor will she be able to apply for a spouse visa whilst she is here? If not, would there be any problems with her coming for the visit (I think it can be for six months) and then returning to Mexico for a short period to apply for the spouse visa?

Thanks.

Visitors may not normally switch to spouse status within the UK. After marriage, she should apply for a spouse visa in Mexico.
