Applied from Lahore, Pakistan

Application Date: 27.Aug.19
Docs scanned, Biometric & interview: 30.Aug.19
Sheffield mail: 03.Sep.19
Somehow Sheffield mail for visa processing never received.
VFS mail to pics passport: 12.09.19
Visa received.

My question: is your tier 4 visa marked for permission to work.

If you are doing a qualifying course, you either get permission to work 10 hours per week or 20 hours per week and your BRP card you collect in the UK will state this if your course is longer than 6 months. As you have provided limited information on your circumstances, difficult for anyone to say.

Actually this is for my son, who will be graduating. On his vignette it is marked 20hrs/week. I was wondering if it same for everyone.

Not for everyone no. Some have no work, some have only 10 hours per week. It depends wholly on the level of course etc that is being done.

Online application completed 11 Sep 2019
I am waiting to book an appointment for biometrics and document submission, any help on how I can submit my application because I was told to use a self uploading service or bring my documents to the embassy during my appoint while they will help me upload it with a fee.

How to upload a document on TLS? Do I need to book an appointment first before I can upload the documents? I am stuck at TLS because I don't want to book an appointment if I don't know how I can upload my checklist documents. P.S I don't want to pay extra fee at the embassy for document uploads.

It is better if you let embassy upload documents, they will also check if something is missing. If you make a mistake in uploading documents or documents are not clear enough, it might delay your visa application decision. Better align your documents, put barcode separators & take to embassy.

Applied Priority on 26 August
Submitted biometrics and documents the same day.
They took copies not originals
On 27th application was forwarded
29th Sheffield has received my application
2nd September called uni, CAS was used
4th September called UKVI, decision had been made on 29th, document is in transit

Any idea what's the delay for receiving at the visa center in Riyadh
hey! have you gotten it?

I called UKVi like a few times and they all couldn't provide a date for the decision made though - said its not on the system. how did you get the date?

I am in panic mode right now.

Here goes my timeline:

Location: New Delhi, INDIA
VISA Category: Standard
Online Application: 26th Aug
Biometric and Document Scanning: 29th Aug
SMS from VFS saying that Application Forwarded to UKVI: 30th Aug
E-mail from Sheffield Application Received at Decision Center: 7th Sept

Still waiting for any information.
I paid for courier service which attenuates my anxiety.
I am already missing my welcome week and have got my flight scheduled for 18th late night.
I might have to reschedule the journey. I don't want to miss the last day of welcome week.
My classes are starting from 23rd Sept.

Don't know what to do.

I applied for my tier 4 appointment quiet lately due to lots of documentation even source of funds in the bank statement and prepping for IELTS and so on and now the wait time is killing and annoying as my classes will start on 23rd Sept 2019.

I applied for MSc Finance at the University of Liverpool with a 100% Full-Fee Scholarship (based on my CGPA 3.82/4.00). The Univ is part of the Pilot program and we are not required to submit Academics and Finances but still, I submitted it to be on the safe side.

Doc's I submitted; Bank Statement, Assets Sale Deed (source of funds), My Father's Affidavit of Support, Univ. Degree & Transcripts, Scholarship Email, Accommodation Correspondence Email (UK Address), IELTS Result, National Identity Card (Translated), Birth Certificate, Family Registration Certificate, TB Test Certificate.

Here is my timeline;
Applied for Visa; 28.08.2019
Appeared for Biometrics & Interview; 05.09.2019
Got the SMS from VFS and email from UKVI that the application has been received on 05.09.2019

After that, there is no update!

Fingers Crossed.

My amazing timeline..
1 July - online submission
4 July - biometric
4 July - Sheffield email
19 Aug - Escalate case - no respond
4 sep - my school escalate for me - they say will work on it
4 sep - email asking me to submit passport - I use keep my passport option
6 sep - submit passport
16 sep - call UKVI and they say decision not made

I don't think there is anyone here that have better solution but feel free to comment. Just want some ranting as it is unbelievable.

I can only rely on my school to chase them now. I even called the UK high commission in my country and its useless.

My flight is in a week. Just speechless with this timeline and not sure if I am even going over..

Hi
I just received an email from home office Sheffield stating that

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Kind Regards,

UK Decision Making Centre

Is this normal or experienced any one, please reply I am so worried about it
Thanks
I did not get this but some people do. Not sure what is the difference. I did not get this my application took 2 months anyway...

Which country did u apply from?
Thanks for your reply, I am from Pakistan now got one more email from Sheffield about telephonic interview on 16th September
Hi, Did UKVI sed you an email first to tell you interview time?

Do you know if it means a decision has been made if it was marked as "used"?
Good luck everyone.
