right so since 2012, I've had ILR status which was inside my passport which has expired therefore this year I've applied for a biometric residence permit so I filled out application paid for it end of august and booked my UKVCAS for Thursday 19th September now I live on the isle of wight and booked for the Southampton enhanced service point and paid £125 for the appointment as an 18yr old student this was already really expensive for me, I came to the appointment at 12 just to check I had the right place etc and a woman from UKVCAS came down and told me they were having technical difficulties but she assured me they would be sorted for my appointment at 5, come 5 same woman comes down to tell me that my appointment is cancelled nothing I can do about it they decided to shut down the system at 3 and managed to fit a couple more people in, again I was waiting the whole day for this and was not informed or updated on anything
soo I have lost my appointment now the woman cant tell me anything except to redirect me to the £2.50 a minute hotline, so now I have no idea when Ill be getting a refund or how I can have any more information on what on earth is going on, so I guess my question is has anyone gone through something similar? or have any advice? I know it hasn't been very long but I've heard nothing from UKVCAS yet.
(again cant phone the hotline as I'm 18yrs old and without this don't have any proof of work so can't even get a job)
