You don’t need a PPS number to open a bank account. And it does not make sense not to have a PPS number or a bank account if you want to live here on a long term basis. If you have no PPS, no bank account, no utility bills, how do you even prove that you are living in Ireland?

As litter said, it doesn’t make sense not to have Pps no. Or bank account if you are settling in a country. Just go to any bank and apply for account. Most countries outside Eu are considered high risk by banks. So in addition to your id and address proof, you will require evidence of source of funds. Just apply with your partners job contract and payslips and tell the bank that account will be funded by your partner. If you are from any Fatf very high risk country like Pakistan Iran Sudan Cuba etc, banks will not open your account without you working in the country. Just insist to the bank staff that you need a decline letter from the bank. So you can show it to inis

Eu1 utility bills

Post by mrsdrmnt » Wed Sep 25, 2019 9:06 am

Hello. I received a phone call yesterday from INIS that i need one more utility bill either my name or both our names with my husband. Its a good timing that the tv licence will expire this month so we renewed it yesterday and takes 20 days to get that paper. My question is, is it okay if i can send only the receipt from tv licence to them coz the officer told me to submit it in couple of days or should i wait for the bill of the tv licence?
