Baby born in UK ,got his passport--what is the process for visa?

Post by firoz_alam » Wed Sep 25, 2019 10:55 am

Hello All,

My kid was born in the UK 5 months ago and we need to travel to India and I wanted to get the visa here in UK before going. He has his Indian Passport ready.

I am on ICT T2 visa here in the UK with my wife.

Question - While applying for visa, does we need to pay IHS here as he already born here.

Many Thanks.

IHS is mandatory yes. Makes no difference where the child was born.

Thanks for your confirmation.
But may i know what the below means

Are you under 18 and in local authority care?
Yes No

As my kid is under 18 , so selected yes and in that case there is no IHS but if I select no then there is charge of 400GBP

Please someone clarify

The answer is NO. This question is for children who are under the care of Social Services.

Your child is obviously NOT under the care of social services.

You must pay IHS, there is no exemption for ICT dependents.

What form exactly are you completing?

Presumably you had to put your CoS in the form, which is what would calculate what you have to pay.

Hi,

I am applying for my KID visa who born in UK this year.

While applying which option I need to select from these.

Your relationship or private life is the basis of your application to remain in the UK.

What is your relationship to the person you are applying to remain with in the UK? (Required)

1)Partner

2)Child

3)Parent

4)Other family member

5)I am not applying as a family member - I am only applying on the basis of private life in the UK

Please guide. Thanks for your kind support

What FORM or link are you applying from?? I have already asked you this.

What you are describing sounds like the FLR(FP)

You MUST apply for an ICT Dependent visa. He does NOT qualify for any other visa.

Please try this link:

https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/child
This is NOT the correct visa. It will be refused if you apply for this as NEITHER parent is an ILR holder or British citizen for the child to qualify under Appendix FM.
