Hi,
I came to UK on 3rd June 2016 as an Tier-2 ICT Dependent (wife main applicant). My dependent visa was valid for 1 year (till 2nd June 2017).
I searched job in UK and started my job from 8th August 2016 as Tier-2 ICT Dependent. I continued this job till 2nd June 2017 as Tier-2 ICT dependent. During this period I paid National Insurance and other taxes as Tier-2 general employee pays and didn't claim any HMRC tax (which Tier-2 ICT employee claim).
The same company provided me Tier-2 General visa starting from 12 June 2017 till current date. I was on Leave without pay from 3rd June 2017 to 11 June 2017 because I was not holding any valid visa. Employer didn't terminated my employment. I was still permanent employee of that company.
I am still continuing with this company as permanent employee from 8th August 2016 till current date.
I was looking for Indefinite Leave Remain eligibility (ILR). As per my understanding 5 years on Tier-2 general visa is mandatory for ILR. Am I correct ? I paid NI and other taxes when I was holding dependent visa, so will my time start from 3rd June 2016 ?
Please suggest.
In Brief :
Tier-2 ICT Dependent Visa - 3rd June 2016 to 2nd June 2017
NO VISA - 3rd June 2017 to 11 June 2017
Tier-2 General Visa - 12 June 2017 till Current Date
Same employer. Permanent Employee with never job termination. Leave without pay for 1 week.
Thanks
