You need to apply for a child settlement visa but should only apply once your wife has switched to FLR(M).

She can switch to FLR(M) spouse visa within the UK. She needs to meet the A1 English requirement (or B1 if you want to do that) from an HO approved test centre AND you have to meet the financial requirement which will be £22,400pa for your wife and child.
any funds maintenance is required?
No. You need to meet the financial requirements though with a minimum of 6 months evidence, depending on how you plan to meet them, i.e. PAYE employment, Self employed, savings etc.

Hi Is it mandatory that my wife has to switch to FLR(M) before we apply for child settlement visa??,currently she has her own Tier 4 visa which expires on 2020 oct,so i am planning to bring my kid first and later i am planning to switch my wife. Also kid has came to UK in the past as my tier 2 dependent. Many Thanks

If your spouse has her own tier 4 (your post is really not clear on this point at all), then the child can apply as her dependent yes.

Then your spouse would likely need to switch to FLR(M) first.

Children follow the same route as the parent not on ILR.

FLR(M) for your spouse. Once granted then you apply for a child settlement visa on VAF4A.

They apply for FLR(M) within the UK on one form, spouse as main applicant, child as dependent.
