Sorry write the wrong year, old PBS Dependent BRP still valid until July 2020 over right to work website, while FLR was issued in march 2019.standrews wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 9:22 amHi There,
I got ILR in Dec 2018 and my wife got FLR March 2019, over decision letters there was no instructions on BRP return, so we kept it with us.
When checked for right to work for my wife's old PBS dependent BRP, it still says valid until July 2020 ... we never used that for travel or work and always used our FLR BRP for anything since issued.
If anyone in same situation advise me about BRP return?
I found on new FLR decision letter people receiving now, they wrote an address to return and advised of a financial penalty if not returned.
Thanks for reply. Yes for both ILR and FLR of me and my wife's decision letter, they did not mention about return, so both BRP's with us from a long time. I called UKVI today and they said if there are no instructions then keep it, maybe they don't know themselves.loveman wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 2:02 pmI think you don't need to worry about it . You will only need to return your BRP after receiving naturalization.
UKVI needs to send a clear instruction with new system regarding old BRP but they havnt dine anything for the moment so don't worry your FLR would be valid.
Usually the approval letter states the address where to return the old BRP cut in two pieces as you have to return by law.standrews wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 3:32 pmThanks for reply. It was just yesterday when I saw decision letter of another person issued FLR, they started writing to return BRP or may receive penalty.
Anyways, I might keep it as they did not ask me to return.
