HSMP Dependant visa for WIFE

Post by basitali » Fri Jul 18, 2008 3:59 pm

I'm on HSMP got approved last year in October. I am currently working as DBA in Bank in Yorkshire. I'm earning £35000 per anum + benifits. I recently got married in Pakistan. I want to apply dependant visa for my wife.

Now I have following douts:

1> What form my wife needs to fill for depandant visa?
2> Can I show Maintinance funds from my saving account or it has to be from my current account?

Please reply I am really confused.

Many Thanks, Ali

1. Best to check with VAC / BHC in Pakistan as to which form should be used to make an HSMP dependent application. And find out details of the application procedure(s). Check Gerry's Website

2. Yes, you can show funds in your UK bank account (savings or current) to sponsor dependent(s).

Read Chapter 9 - The maintenance and accommodation requirements and make an effort to search the forum for information already available regarding dependent applications from outside UK and supporting documentation.

BHC in Pakistan is very much rigid in EC application so be carefull about documentation they just look for small thing to refuse visa. I submitted following documents for my wife but refused. and there are several individuals i know applied from pakistan and got refused on trivial reasons ECO at Pakistan are very keen for refusal.

1.1 Passport
1.2 Photographs
1.3 Application Form
1.4 TB Screening Certificate

2.1 Educational Certificates
2.2 Birth Certificate
2.3 Marriage Certificate
2.4 Wedding Cards
2.5 Wedding Pictures

3.1 Copy of Spouse Passports
3.2 Letter from Spouse
3.3 FLR (HSMP) Extension Letter from Home Office
3.4 HSMP Approval
3.5 Letter from Employer
3.6 Appointment Letter
3.7 Employment Contract
3.8 Previous Employment Letter
3.9 Pay Slips (6 months)
3.10 Bank Statements (6 months)

4.1 Letter from Landlord
4.2 Letters from Housemates
4.3 House Equipment Inventory List
4.4 Tenancy Agreement
4.5 Utility Bills
4.6 Deposit Letter

5.1 Bank Statement in Pakistan for Personal Expenses

they refused on the ground that my wife name was not in tenancy agreement although I attached a letter from landlord that he has no objection for my wife living with me. but ECO disregarded the letter.
