No, my farther wasn't British by birth, as fare as I'm aware, my farther never had British passport but had " British partiality" on his passport, which I think is "Right abode "
Not sure how he acquired partiality, he was born in 1927, residing in Bangladesh but before indepentance it was part of India, so four grandparent were born in India. Hope this helps. Thank you so much.secret.simon wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 6:28 amAlso, how did he acquire patriality (old name for Right of Abode)? When and where were his ancestors (all four grandparents and both parents) born? When and where were you and your siblings born?
Thank you so much for your reply.secret.simon wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2019 7:05 pmDid your father reside in the UK (as it is now constituted) before 1971?
Which month/year were you born? Do you know if/when your father was registered as a British citizen?
