Hi can someone tell me how much a Filipino citizen needs to have per day while visiting the u.k? My wife is pregnant and wants her sister here in u.k for the birth and help in first few months before returning home. My wife has obtained her British citizenship.

Hello
Does the sister work in Philippines? I am asking as a person able to stay a few months in the UK, generally has few to no attachments in her home country which can be a serious issue for a visit visa.
If you write an invitation that you accommodate her and pay everything for her while she is in the UK, she doesn't need to show a lot of money herself but still, if she doesn't have a job in her country, the chance of her getting a visit visa for the UK are slim.

Yes her sister has a job. She would bring her four year old daughter. It is for three months maximum. Her sister my wife is a British citizen. Surely she would be granted a visa as her sister wants her here for the birth of are first child. She has a husband and three grown children she would need to go home to anyway.

No guarantee of a visa because her sister wants her here or because her sister is British.
Presumably she will have evidence that her employer will be granting her 3 months leave (which is unusual usually)??

It is a family run business her father owns it with a business partner. She will definitely be granted the time off.

She will have to provide very strong evidence of her ties to home country (social, family, employment, income, property, etc etc).
Is she going to state in the application that she is visiting for 3 months??

Yes she will have to provide a true account of why she wants to visit and the duration

Yes she will have to declare honestly the reason of her visit and when she will say that she is going to assist her sister with first child then HO will more likely assume that she won't return within her stated time. Also equally if she don't disclose honestly her purpose of visit then her future applications might affect.

Hi myself and my wife are getting together support documents for a visa application for my wife's sister to come visit the u.k around the time my wife will have are first child. We have to have money in bank to show we can support her when she comes to u.k. She will bing her 4 year old daughter. My question is we have some money saved that we can deposit into are accounts to show we can support the visit. Will immagration ask questions if they see the full amount of money deposited into each of are accounts?

Yes that is their routine check and any sudden rise in balance just before visa application trigger their more strict scrutiny.

The be fair, I am not a great believer in the application.
The 3 months holiday and the employment letter signed by a family member mean she doesn't work. Or the caseworker won't be satisfied she does.
There is no father in the story. So she is coming with the only person who matters to her: the 4 year old kid.
As she has her sister already in the UK, this will give her more incentive to stay then to leave at the end of her visa. She can apply later under the 7-year "route" for kids.
Once you enter with the Home Office in the cycle of visitor applications / refusals, there will be no come back from it.
I am giving you my feeling about it. You can apply and see. But having seen so many refusals in the past, this application seems to be the academic example of refused visa.

Hi my sister in law has received this email and I was wondering if there is any indication as to what decision might be?
A decision has been made on your application and your documents are being returned to the Visa Application Centre (VAC). You will be contacted again by the VAC once these documents have been received and they are ready for you to collect. If you have chosen to have your documents couriered to you, these will be despatched by the VAC once they have been received. Please do not attend the application centre until you have been contacted by the VAC. UKVI contact details can be found at
